Lecture Team of University Physics

The Teaching Center of University Physics (short for The Centre) was founded in 2018 based on Basic Physics Teaching and Research Section of School of Physics Science and Technology, Lanzhou University.The Centreis mainly responsible for the construction of curriculum sets of University Physics, the revision of the corresponding syllabus, and the arrangement and management of teaching tasks.The Centre consists of a Medical Imaging Physics course, and five University Physics course groups, namely, Science-Technology group (including SetsA and B), Mixed-Science group (SetC), Medical group (SetD), and Liberal-Art group (SetE). The main tasks of the Centre are to undertake the Teaching tasks inUniversity Physics (SetA, B, C, D, and E) and Image Physics Basis in the whole university.Every year, the Centre will lectureto ~3500 undergraduates from science, engineering, agriculture, Medicine, and liberal art, with annual teaching workload over 3800 hours

At present, The Center has 30 staffs. In terms of professional titles,there are 4 full professors (13%), 15 associate professors (50%), and 11 Lecturers (37%), i.e., the senior staffs account for 63% of the total.In term of age, there are 8 staffs (27%) over 50 years old, 9 staffs (30%) between 40 and 50 years old and 13 staffs (43%) under 40 years of age.In brief, the Centre has a moderatepersonnel and reasonable structures in professional title and age, in which the advantages from old, middle and young can be complementary each other for high teaching quality.
